To me, beauty is not the clothes you wear, the makeup on
your face, or the size of your jeans; beauty is being able to brighten someone’s day with
just a smile.
Stopping the widespread ideal of the blond size 0 isn’t just material, it
is revolutionary. It is progress. We now have a black president, why can’t we have size
12 girls on the magazine covers?
How am I different? I am not obsessed with the tabloid covers, Perez Hilton, or how much my jeans cost. I am not ashamed to shop at Dollar Tree. I will go out in public with no makeup. I will give compliments and actually mean them. And, most importantly, I open myself to see the good in others, not just find the flaws to hide my own.
